About Me

I’m Lisa & for those of you that don’t know me, I started out my working life as Airline Cabin crew.

I have a husband & a son who keep me grounded & busy, so I understand what is is like having to balance between family, the gym, work and having some well earned me time.

I travelled the world for 25 years & loved every moment meeting amazing people & exploring some special places.

My other passion has always been sport & fitness, so wherever I travelled I would always go running to explore or find the local gym to train in. The Las Vegas strip was probably one of my favorite early morning runs.

At home, I train in Prolife fitness Centre, where I first found my passion for various cardio classes & weight training.

I don’t class myself as a body builder, but I did set myself a challenge in late 2016 to compete in a Master’s Figure body building competition in 2017. Being 40years old & making my debut was very daunting, but I took on the task, trained & worked my way to becoming the “BNBF Scottish Masters figure Champion” of 2017 & also a British finalist. Something I’m still very proud of.

Unfortunately, just before the pandemic my job was made redundant overnight, due to my Airline going bust, which changed my life & circumstances. Instead of letting this be a problem, I seen this as not a bad time in my life, but an opportunity, in reality all you need sometimes is a slight change of perspective.

I was left to make the decision to make a total career change.

Becoming a fitness instructor & personal trainer was always an aspiration I’d had, so within 4 months & after a lot of hard graft I was fully qualified. It was then the next natural step to take in my life, it may sound cliché but its true when one door closes another door opens.

I qualified just as the first lockdown was about to happen, so once I was allowed to, I began Personal training clients outside in my local park, which I grew from 1 client to 10 very quickly. That then quickly grow with the success of my clients to moving full time into a gym environment, and to where I am with business today.

I am keen to work with people of all different walks of life, everyone is welcome at Elevate fitness regardless of Age, background, gender, race or ability. I provide a safe environment to train with me whether thats in person or online
